Fierce and fragile, big cats in the art of robert dallet

We need to have tigers, panthers and ocelots in their natural habitat, for their presence contributes to the universal harmony that is vital if man is to achieve his destiny.

En résonance avec « La nature au galop », le thème choisi par Hermès en 2016, Actes Sud et Hermès publient un album consacré à l'oeuvre de Robert Dallet (1923-2006).

Peintre et illustrateur, Robert Dallet a dédié sa vie entière à l'étude et à la représentation de la faune sauvage et fut par-dessus tout fasciné par la beauté des félins.

En présentant une sélection d'images inédites (aquarelles et croquis au fusain et crayon), cet ouvrage rend hommage au talent et à la sensibilité du naturaliste et peintre animalier avec lequel la maison Hermès a noué un lien profond. Ce témoignage, empreint d'une profonde empathie, constitue sans conteste un acte de résistance contre la disparition d'un monde menacé
